John Charles Watrous (August 1, 1801-June 17, 1874) was an attorney, counsel for the Texas Land and Emigration Company-Peters Colony,[1]-[a] Attorney General for the Republic of Texas[2] and the first United States judge for the District of Texas.[1]-[b]
