This is the user page for Historicalrecord.

I am a student of American, East European and Russian/Soviet history, having graduated with majors in history from The Colorado College at Colorado Springs and University of Colorado at Boulder. My mentors were Professors Alexey N. Malychev and Stephen Fischer-Galati.

For the past 30-plus years I have worked for the U.S. Army in the intelligence disciplines where my expertise was broadened, then focused, but always maximized. I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and will retire from Civil Service in 2010.

I have become a student of local history wherever I have lived and traveled.

I currently live in Texas but have lived in many places.
