Contributions to Wikipedia by this author focus on the human factors engineering of computer hardware to maximize its ease-of-use while minimizing the probability of human error. Craig Hartley has 30+ years of experience as a human factors engineer involved with computer systems, manned space systems, nuclear power, and teleoperated underground mining systems. He has been a working group chair and member of various ANSI and SAE standards committees involved with establishing human factors standards related to hardware. He is a long-standing member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, is past Chair of the HFES Computer Systems Technical Group, and was Chair of the Human Factors Society 33rd Annual Meeting in 1989. Craig is a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE).
