The Victims of the Norway 2011 Attacks[edit]

The names below are the victims of the 2011 Norway attacks, these names have been released by Norwegian Police on 29th July 2011, it is expected to take two weeks to recover all the bodies.[1] The camp organiser for over 20 years was Monica Bosei, 45, known as Mother Utoya. Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said: "To many of us, she was the embodiment of Utoeya. And now she is dead. Shot and killed whilst taking care of and giving joy to young people."[2] Her two daughters escaped with their lives as they raised the alarm at the Ferry as it docked. The girls alerted Trond Berntsen, 51, an off duty Police Officer, both Mrs Bosei and Mr Bernsten were killed by the heavily armed attacker. Mr Berntsen was the step brother of Norway's Mette-Marit, Crown Princess of Norway.[3].

The youngest victim being Sharidyn Svebakk-Boehn, who had just turned 14 years old, her blog was purpleinstyle.blogg.no [4] describes the days before her murder.[5][6] A total of 14 young people from Helgeland, the most southerly district in North Norway attended, 2 died, 12 survived.[7]

Utøya[edit]

The first section below are those who died at the Utøya youth camp on 22 July 2011.

Oslo Bomb[edit]

The Norway Bomb exploded in an area near Government Offices, killing eight Norwegian citizens including Hanna Endresen who worked as a Receptionist in the security department of the Government Administration Services. She was described as a "good colleague". Also killed was Anne Lise Holter, Senior consultant to Norway's PM Jens Stoltenberg's office. Officials sent their "warmest thoughts and sympathy" to her family and friends. Also killed was Kjersti Berg Sand, who Worked on international issues in Justice Department. Colleagues said they had lost a "dear and highly valued employee". Other victims included Kai Hauge, Owned a bar and restaurant in Oslo. A colleague described his death as "a great loss". Also killed was Tove Ashill Knutsen, Secretary with the electricians and information technology workers' union. On her way to subway station when bomb exploded. Other victims were Hanne Ekroll Loevlie, Ida Marie Hill and Jon Vegard Lervag.[9]
