Insufficient Glandular Tissue[edit]

Insufficient Glandular Tissue (IGT) is a condition where a breastfeeding woman has Low milk supply due the absence of sufficient breast milk producing glandular tissue. IGT is often associated with Tuberous breasts or mammary hypoplasia.

Rule out other causes e.g. poor breastfeeding establishment/management, poor latch, weak suck, medical conditions such as thyroid, insulin resistance, hormonal imbalances (e.g. low prolactin).
