August 2020
[edit]- Wave Group nominated at AfD; notified FanFactory (talk · contribs) 15:44, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: Nominating because nothing substantial would remain if one tries to exclude and remove the blatant advert/promotional content WP:ADPROMO. There are a few reliable sources like this- on ET and elsewhere but they by and large talk about Gurdeep Singh Chadha or his son Monty Chadha [1] or their past frauds. Nothing worthy to merge to any existing articles too.
- Dana al-Salem nominated at AfD; notified Andrewjlockley (talk · contribs) 16:11, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: Not notable. Possible COI with two major contributors to the article (User:FanFactory and User:Danaalsalem).
- Morphogenesis (company) nominated at AfD; notified Edito Freak (talk · contribs) 04:53, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: Per WP:NCORP. The coverage it has managed to receive is not significant. Notability tags were placed since 2016.
- Growel's 101 nominated at AfD; notified Wierdeditor (talk · contribs) 05:19, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: Per WP:NBUILD. A local shopping mall in the western suburb of Mumbai, nothing particularly special about it. Many trivial mentions in RS, but no significant coverage.
- Ben Roth nominated at AfD; notified KathySpier (talk · contribs) 15:55, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: No evidence of notability WP:GNG
- Clever (rapper) nominated at AfD; notified Dannyboy1555 (talk · contribs) 05:53, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Harsha CM Gowda nominated at AfD; notified Shivaranjani S (talk · contribs) 05:58, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Spilulu nominated at AfD; notified Lubumbashi1 (talk · contribs) 14:34, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: Sources cited are youtube links and unreliable blogs and websites. A websearch doesn't find anything concrete. Fails GNG, WP:NSINGER
- Amlaan A Chakraborty nominated at AfD; notified Cacophony0Anir (talk · contribs) 20:09, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: Promo page for a non-notable music composer. Times of India articles are 2 line articles with insignificant coverage. Other articles include passing mentions of the subject or are unreliable sources. Most of the content include no verifiable sources. Fails GNG and WP: COMPOSER
- Arpita Mukherjee nominated at AfD; notified Juwais (talk · contribs) 21:53, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:BASIC. Tried to remove some promo material (spotify, itunes, soundcloud, shazam) before nominating here. Decided the sources don't establish notability. Sources other than those not mentioned in my source assess table aren't worth discussing, imv.
- Upul Shantha Sannasgala nominated at AfD; notified Wikipriyath (talk · contribs) 20:23, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: Can't find any significant coverage for him. Was embroiled in a few lawsuits of IP infringement [2], [3]. Ran for some parliamentary seat in 2015 but failed. So fails wp:npol.
September 2020
[edit]- Heeba Shah nominated at AfD; notified Jsah258 (talk · contribs) 00:34, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
- DJ Baby Pink nominated at AfD; notified Gingerbreadcookie (talk · contribs) 06:46, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:WEBCRIT and WP:NME .It's all refbombing if one checks the cited sources.
August 2021
[edit]- Akhtar Sheerani: nominated at AfD; notified Jameel11 (talk · contribs) 20:09, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: All refs are either WP:UGC, WP:YT, or unreliable. Couldn't find any WP:SIGCOV beyond passing mentions. The dawn article has a passing mention. Found a scroll article with his mention. Another unreliable source [8] with little coverage. There could be reliable local print sources since the person died in 48, but they need to be produced. Since the article has been up since 2007, I am assuming there aren't any reliable sources with significant coverage.
October 2021
[edit]- Jigarwala (2015 film): nominated at AfD; notified Khanbabaji (talk · contribs) 19:03, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Doesn't pass GNG, WP:NFO, any inclusionary criteria. Unlikely that full length reviews of this film exist, in print or web. Sources in article and those that exist on the web are directory listings, unreliable and trivial.
November 2021
[edit]- Fayez Barakat: nominated at AfD; notified BCAncientArt (talk · contribs) 02:11, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Lacks significant coverage in multiple reliable sources. These are interviews with just direct quotations [9], [10], [11]. There [12] seems some coverage about his art gallery which covers him in a non trivial way too, but the BLP needs more sources. Maybe there are local print sources I couldn't find.
March 2022
[edit]- File:Will Smith slaps Chris Rock.jpg: (Smith slaps Chris Rock.jpg log) nominated at FfD; notified TheSecondComing10 (talk · contribs) 15:42, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: WP:NFCCP#8
Non-free content is used only if its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the article topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding
. The article Will Smith–Chris Rock Oscars altercation doesn't need the image necessarily, to aid the user's understanding of the incident.
- Reason: WP:NFCCP#8
May 2022
[edit]- Quran translations into Bengali: nominated at AfD; notified জাবিরটটক (talk · contribs) 23:40, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Too many issues. The "Comparison of the poetic translation of the Quran" section, besides not adhering to WP:RSUE, uses large parts of quotations of translated material, hence potential for copyvio, for the website as well as the page here. [This source https://archive.ph/ZbZ9E], on which the section relies upon, is likely unreliable anyways. The section "Translations in time line" is replete with unreliable sources like [13], [14], [15], [16], [17], [18], [19], whenever it's not citing Kaler Kantho, on which the article is highly reliant upon (Kaler Kantho is cited 50+ times). The timeline is a mish-mash of Kaler Kantho's work plus some OR.

[edit]- Ritwika Gupta: nominated at AfD 12:27, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
November 2022
[edit]- Sakshi Excellence Awards: nominated at AfD; notified Jayanthkumar123 (talk · contribs) 21:11, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Circumspect WP:BLAR, nominating since this non notable award doesn't need a standalone article per WP:CORPDEPTH (the award is basically a publicity exercise for Sakshi media). This, and other related articles 8th Sakshi Excellence Awards, 7th Sakshi Excellence Awards need to be redirected without any selective or full merge, to Sakshi_(media_group)#Sakshi_Excellence_Awards.
December 2022
[edit]- Shera Bechard: nominated at AfD; notified Julietacr (talk · contribs) 20:04, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Ideally, I would've WP:BLARd to Michael_Cohen_(lawyer)#Payment_to_Shera_Bechard. But atleast 1 editor doesn't think so. And, is apparently shy of discussion. There's no significant coverage on her, except one single event. So WP:PSEUDO applies.
- Kapil Sharma (actor): nominated at AfD; notified Priyankaraina2012 (talk · contribs) 19:29, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Doesn't have significant roles in multiple notable films. The 1 notable film in which the subject has a significant role is Dunno Y... Na Jaane Kyon.
October 2024
[edit]- Dogspot: nominated at AfD; notified Rydbyrd (talk · contribs) 06:17, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Per WP:NSUSTAINED
Brief bursts of news coverage may not sufficiently demonstrate notability
. The coverage is centered on it receiving some investment from a notable Indian businessman in 2016. Fails WP:CORPDEPTH.
- Reason: Per WP:NSUSTAINED
- Navin Chawla (judge): nominated at AfD; notified Jeraxmoira (talk · contribs) 13:51, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: I understand the uncontrollable itch that one could have when they have shit stuck up in their ass and there's no toilet paper. It's comparable to the uncontrollable urge of wikipedians creating as many articles with overlapping subject matter as they possibly can. The only issue with this blp is there's no WP:SIGCOV. In this refbombed blp, leaving aside the primary sources [21],[22] all the rest are trivial mentions. In the discussion with one of the user on the talk page of the article, they argue that 1) Verbatim quotations reproduced without any independent commentary from the reliable source, does qualify sigcov criteria. 2) They also argue that the SNG WP:JUDGE which presumes notability is a valid argument to make, when the guideline says
meeting one or more does not guarantee that a subject should be included
. Also, the presumption does not hold if challenged by other editor. The guideline saystopics which pass an SNG are presumed to merit an article, though articles which pass an SNG or the GNG may still be deleted or merged into another article, especially if adequate sourcing or significant coverage cannot be found, or if the topic is not suitable for an encyclopedia
Imo, the only contention that needs resolving is whether verbatim quotations from the article's subject qualify as sigcov. If they do, we could have perhaps an * Indiscriminate list of cases heard by Judge Navin Chawla in Delhi High Court or * Indiscriminate list of various oral arguments made by Judge Navin Chawla in the various cases he heard in Delhi High Court, both of which wouldn't qualify WP:NLIST. Judges in India usually maintain a low-profile and media attention that the article's subject has received (partly due to wikipedia's circular reporting in Asian News International vs. Wikimedia Foundation) is not an attention-seeking behaviour as per WP:LPI. — hako9 (talk) 13:51, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
