Ackley Bridge

Ackley Bridge is a British drama television series that focuses on the lives of the staff and pupils at the fictional West Yorkshire secondary academy, Ackley Bridge College, in the fictitious mill town of Ackley Bridge.[1] The first series consisted of six episodes and aired from 7 June to 12 July 2017.[2] The second series consists of 12 episodes; the first half began airing on 5 June 2018.[3][4][5]

Fern Saffron Deacon[9] (born 1 September 1998)[9] is an English actress best known for her roles as Agnes in CBBC's Hetty Feather and Chloe Voyle in Channel 4's school drama, Ackley Bridge.[10]

Career

In 2013, Deacon guest starred in three BBC series: Father Brown, Casualty and Call the Midwife as Kathleen Knight, Ria Jones and Gillian Glennon respectively, as well as voicing over the role of Young Lara in the UK version of the film The Unbeatables.[11][12][13] In 2016, Deacon appeared in an episode of BBC's daytime soap opera Doctors as Jane Farlow.[14] In 2017, Deacon played Catherine Davis in Channel 4's docudrama The Trial: A Murder in the Family and guest starred as Emma in Uncle, Jenny in Harlots and a Maid in Will.[15] Also since 2017, Deacon has been playing the main roles of Chloe Voyle in Channel 4's Ackley Bridge and Agnes in CBBC's Hetty Feather, which is based on the book of the same name by Jacqueline Wilson.[16][17][18][19] In 2018, Deacon appeared in three episodes of Strike as Kelsey Platt as well as guest starring as Lily Rattle in an episode Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators, both on BBC.[20][21][22]
