Filip Aleksandar Šufflaj, born on February 12, 1796 in Samobor, died on November 22, 1882 in Brlog house number 22. He was owner of the castle Brlog gradsince 1838, which he bought from the Earl family Petrina. After his death, the family of Emilij Laszowski bought the castle, however due to loss of the property sale, because of the passion for gambling at a local farmer. Šufflaj acquired 1859 also the castle in Bubnjarci from the mother of the great admiral Anton Haus.
