Bibliography

[edit]

Elizabeth Fraser's lyricism was largely made up of nonsense words which almost serve as ethereal instrumentation for the band. In a 1FM radio interview, Elizabeth discussed her lyrics, saying "The lyrics are words that I found by going through books and dictionaries written in languages that I don’t understand...The words don't have any meaning at all until they're sung.” [1][2]

Outline of proposed changes

[edit]

I am adding information about the background of Cocteau Twins lyricism. CT is well known for their difficult to understand vocals, but few people know the extremely unique songwriting method that singer Elizabeth Fraser utilized in their music. I am providing a source leading directly to a radio interview with Fraser, and an article discussing the topic which references it.
