Novel Diaphragm Cramp-Contracture (DCC)

[edit]
Flow diagram by Gebien illustrating how SIDS risk factors contribute to sudden respiratory arrest by diaphragm cramp.
Diaphragm cramp-contracture is a result of work overload of a fatigued diaphragm and is proposed to lead to sudden respiratory arrest based on a case patient. This is a legitimate SIDS mechanism and could be a major medical discovery.
