Premise

[edit]

"The Amazing Gay Pile" takes place at the fictional Shop At Home Channel in Hamilton, Ontario-- a third-rate shopping network that broadcasts live to Greater Hamilton seven days a week. It follows the misadventures of Gayl Pile, one of the channel's inept on-air hosts. The series features the same cast as the 2x Gemini-Award winning Cock'd Gunns (Best Writing in a Comedy Series; Best Ensemble Cast in a Comedy Series). Morgan Waters stars as the title character about one man's misguided quest to conquer the world of home shopping and become king of the TV pitchman's game. Brooks Gray, Andy King, Leo Scherman, and Inessa Frantowski (all former cast mates on Cock'd Gunns) round out the cast.
