Biography

[edit]

Nestor Barbitta was born in 1974 in Lomas de Zamora, Argentina, he Studied Audiovisual Design at the University of Buenos Aires.

During his first years as a photographer, he dedicated himself to photojournalism, publishing photographs in different media both in Argentina and internationally.

At the same time, he participated in a workshop focused on photographic narrative, which allowed him to develop a look and a visual identity that reflects his purpose as an artist.

In this journey there is a theme that permanently runs through his work: man and his interaction with the world around him.

In 2016 he specialized in handling UAV (drones) with the intention of using this medium as a form of expression.

Between 2017 and 2019 he took aerial photographs of everyday situations and recognizable spaces in different parts of Argentina, mainly the city of Buenos Aires and some counterpoints of the interior of this country (La Rioja, Mendoza, Mar del Plata, etc.).
