Nevinnomysskaya GRES[edit]

Power plant of federal significance, GRES in Nevinnomyssk, Stavropolsk region, Northern-Caucus federal region. It is a subsidiary of Enel Russia.

History[edit]

Building of thermal powerplant as part of Nevinnomysk nitrogen fertilizer factory started in 1958, the first turbin unit was come on stream in June, 1960. General planner of the station was Rostov Branch of Projecting Institute «Teploenergoproject». General contractor of building was «Caucausenergomontagh». In August, 1960 Nevinnomysskaya thermal power plant was removed from factory structure and in 1962 it was renamed to Nevinnomysskaya GRES. In 1970 the 6th unit was come on stream, in 1972– combined circle gas turbine was launched CCGT -170. In 1981—1997 the works for increasing of GRES heating capacity took place. The works of technical modernization and reconstruction were in 1997—2007.

Activity of power plant[edit]

Nevinnomysskaya GRES has installed capacity 1700,2 MW; installed heating capacity— 910 Gkal/hour. There are 13 turbines and 14 boilers at the power plant. Nevinnomysskaya GRES consists of central heating and power plant, outdoor condensing power generating unit, CCGT-170 and new CCGT-410. There are 14 turbines and 15 boilers at the station. Technical water supply of the station is realized from Bolshoi Stavropolskii canal and Cuban river. The main fuel is natural gas, reserve – mazut. GRES is divided to boiler-turbine shop–1, BTP–2 and CC-170. The main equipment of boiler turbine shop-1 was put in operation in 2 lines. The main equipment of the line of 90 ата(heat units of stations № 1 and 2)includes 4 boiler units TP-15 with the rated capacity of 220 tons of vapour per hour of the Taganrog boiler factory’s production and 2 heat turbines PT-25-90/10 with the rated capacity of 25MW and heat capacity of by JSC «Turbomotornyi zavod» (Yekaterinburg). The main equipment of the line 130 ата (heat units of stations № 3, 4 and 5) includes: — 3 boiler units ТГМ-96 with rated capacity of 480 tons of vapour per hour of Taganrog boiler factory; -extraction turbine ПТ-80/100-130/13 with installed electro capacity of 80 МW and heat capacity of 183 Gcal/hour by Leningrad metal factory; — extraction turbine Р-50-130-21 with installed electro capacity of 50 MW and heat capacity of 188 Gcal/hour by Leningrad metal factory; — extraction turbine Р-30-130/15 with electrical capacity of 30 MW and heat capacity of 164 Gcal/hour by JSC «Turbomotornyi zavod» (Yekaterinburg). The main equipment of BTS (boiler turbine shop)-2 contains 6 units (№ 6-11). Every unit consists of: — boiler unit ТГМ-94 with rated capacity 500 tons/hour by Taganrog boiler factory; — steam turbine К-150-130 (units of the station № 6-10) with installed electro capacity of 150 MW or steam turbine К-160-130 (№ 11) with installed electro capacity of 160 MW by Kharkov turbine factory. CCGT-170 includes following principal equipment: — Double-casing high-pressure steam generator HSG-450-140 with steam capacity of 450 tons/hour by Taganrog boiler factory; — Steam Turbine К-145-130 (№ 12) with installed electro capacity of 145 MW by Kharkov turbine factory; — Steam-and-gas turbine equipment with gas turbine GT-25-710 (№ 13) with installed electro capacity of 25 MW by Kharkov turbine factory.

Launching of new combined circle gas turbine[edit]

On 15th July, 2011 new combined circle gas turbine with the capacity of 410 MW (SGS-410) was launched at Nevinnomysskaya GRES. That was the first power unit, which Enel company come on stream in Russia according to program of investments that was aimed to increase installed capacity,to improve industrial and ecological indicators of company’s power plants. CCGT-410 at Nevinnomysskaya GRES is a unique project of such type and scale realized in a region. Implementation of new generative capacity gave a possibility to provide with more safety, uninterrupted energy during the XXII Winter Olympic Games and the XI Paralympic Games in Sochi. New power unit differs with increased safety and high level of technological process automation. The index of efficiency of new combined circle gas turbine set is 58% in comparison with 35-40% of traditional gas-turbin plants.

Interesting facts[edit]

In 2014 Nevinnomysskaya GRES achieved 2 records on the energy generation. On 30th November, in compliance of the purpose of system operator, the power plant generated 37 million 732 thousand K.W.H., which is a maximum of daily generation of the whole history of Nevinnomysskaya GRES. In August, 2014 Nevinnomysskaya GRES generated the record amount of energy per summer day – 32 million 154 thousand K.W.H. On 25th June, 2015 Nevinnomysskaya GRES was 55 years.
