COD CHARACTER LIST:[edit]

Protagonists[edit]

Player Characters[edit]

United Kingdom  Captain John "Soap" MacTavish (/məkˈtævɪʃ/; Voiced by: Kevin McKidd) - The main protagonist of the game. He is not a playable character, but the game's view is switched to his perspective during the opening of the game, similar that of to President Al-Fulani from Call of Duty 4. He was badly wounded after killing Lt. General Shepherd by launching a throwing knife into his eye in Modern Warfare 2. However, he joins the player on most missions involving Yuri and is deemed as a very important role in running the game's storyline smoothly.[citation needed] He is killed when his attempt with Price,Yuri and Kamarov to assassinate Makarov fails, and an explosion resulted in him falling from a great height, which reopens his knife wound. Despite Price and Yuri's attempt to save him, he eventually dies from blood loss, with his dying words being "Makarov...knows...Yuri," leading to Captain Price's anguish. Captain Price then punched Yuri down the staircase and demanded to know of his association with Makarov.

United Kingdom Captain John Price (Voiced by: Billy Murray) - The deuteragonist of the game until Soap's death were he becomes the main protagonist, is responsible for keeping the stability of his team, though he is not playable until the game's final mission, "Dust to Dust". He is emotionally attached to Soap as his "blood brother", due to his heavy respect towards him, and he experienced irascibility towards Yuri after Soap's death. Price manages to track down Makarov to a hotel in the Middle East, and he and Yuri assault the hideout. Price eventually manages to wrap a cable around Makarov's neck and smash a glass window, sending him plunging to his death. Price then calmy smokes a cigar at the scene.

Russia , Yuri (Russian: Юрий) (Voiced by: Brian Bloom) - The main playable character. He is an ex-Spetsnaz soldier fighting alongside the Russian Loyalists and Task Force 141.[1] It is revealed that Makorov and Yuri were once friends and fellow Ultranationalists. Yuri and Makarov were present when Zakhaev was shot by Price in Pripyat, where the two evacuated their leader from the arms deal. Yuri was also with Makarov in the Middle East, when the latter detonated the nuclear bomb that killed 30,000 American soldiers. This made Yuri uneasy about Makarov's intentions. When Makarov and the other terrorists planned to do a masscare in Zakhaev International Airport, Yuri attempted to contact the F.S.B. to warn them, but was found out and shot by Makarov for treason. Yuri then tried to stop the massacre, but he passed out from blood loss. However, Yuri was rescued by members of the Russian Police, and vowed for revenge on Makarov.[2] He was killed by Makarov in the mission "Dust to Dust", but his death bought Price time to kill the notorious terrorist. He was the first Russian playable character in the Modern Warfare series, and he seems to respect Price and Soap.

United States Sergeant Derek "Frost" Westbrook - A Delta Force commando and a member of Team Metal. He is the player character for all Delta Force missions in the campaign, with the exception of "Down the Rabbit Hole", when the (disavowed) Task Force 141 and Team Metal launch a joint rescue operation to rescue President Vorshevsky and his daughter Alena. He is not heard from after this mission and his fate is left unknown. Like all player characters in the Modern Warfare series (excluding Price and Yuri who you hear speaking in the final mission "Dust to Dust"), he never speaks, although at the beginning of the level "Black Tuesday" a soldier is heard screaming "R.P.G.!!!" before Team Metal's Humvee is hit and flips over; It is not Sandman's, Grinch's or Truck's voices that are heard, so there is a possibility it is Frost speaking. He is also playable in special ops mission "The Pit","Charges set",also in"Toxic Paradise" proved by Overlord telling the play by callsign "Metal Zero-Four" Frost call sign

United Kingdom Sergeant Marcus Burns - An S.A.S. operative stationed in the UK, along with Sgt. Wallcroft and Cpl. Griffin. Playable during the mission "Mind the Gap". He and his SAS team investigated the suspicious cargo delivered in London and discovered the bio-chemical weapon delivered by Makarov, and that there were several trucks that could all contain the chemicals. They made an attempt to stop the gas attack, but targeted the wrong truck. The truck with the real chemicals went off near Big Ben.He could be voiced by Craig Fairbrass. There is an optionable choice that the truck instead explode in front of Burns

Russia  F.S.O. Agent Andrei Harkov (Russian: Агент ФСО Андрей Харков) - An F.S.O. agent guarding Russian President Boris Vorshevsky during the mission "Turbulence". When the plane that was carrying the Russian President was hijacked by the Makarov's Follower,Inner Circle, Harkov and the other agents fought to secure the President in the safe room of the plane, but it was brought down and crashed. Mistaking a hostile chopper for evacuation transport, he was killed by Makarov upon opening the helicopter door.

United States AC-130 Spectre Gunner An unidentified member of an AC-130 Gunship (callsign "Warhammer") who the player is put in control of during two parts of the mission "Iron Lady" assisting Team Metal. Although it is not confirmed, it is very likely this is the very same character the player controls in the original Modern Warfare. In the AC-130 the player is helped playing through his objectives by a TV Operator and a female FCO.

NPCs (Non-Player Characters)[edit]

United States  Master Sgt. "Sandman" (Voiced by: William Fichtner)[3] - A Delta Force operator and leader of Team Metal. He shares intel with Price regarding Makarov in spite of Price's fugitive status.[4] He served alongside Ghost, Soap and Price during "Operation: Kingfish", explaining his friendship with Price. He is hit in the shoulder while giving cover to an escaping helicopter that contained Yuri, Price and the Russian President, and is presumed KIA in "Down the Rabbit Hole" along with the rest of Team Metal (minus Sgt. Derek "Frost" Westbrook) when the diamond mine where President Vorshevsky was being held collapses.[5]

United States  Sergeant first class "Truck" (Voiced by: Idris Elba) - A Delta Force member, part of Sandman's Team Metal. Presumed KIA in "Down the Rabbit Hole" when the mine collapses on them.[5] He is the only African-American ally in Modern Warfare 3.

United States  Sergeant first class "Grinch" (Voiced by: Timothy Olyphant)[6] - A Delta Force member, and part of Sandman's Team Metal. Presumed KIA in "Down the Rabbit Hole" when the mine collapses on them.[5] He uses an MK14 exclusively. In every mission he uses it as his only weapon except during his last stand in the diamond mine with Sandman and Truck when he throws it aside and pulls out a Desert Eagle pistol.

United Kingdom Sgt. Wallcroft (Voiced by: Craig Fairbrass)[7] - An SAS operative from a minor role in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. He appears in the mission "Mind the Gap", leading an SAS team including Sgt. Burns and Cpl. Griffin in an effort to stop a chemical attack in London. After pursuing a hijacked subway train in trucks the rogue driver is killed but the train derails, and nearly kills him and Burns. After stumbling out of the wreckage, the two make their way back aboveground and regroup with other SAS forces. His callsign is Bravo 6.

United Kingdom  Cpl. Griffin (Voiced by: Craig Fairbrass) - An SAS operative who is stationed in the UK alongside Sgt. Wallcroft and Sgt. Burns. He appears in the mission "Mind the Gap", but is killed halfway through the mission when a runaway subway train derails and slides directly into the path of their vehicle, causing it to flip over and cause Griffin to take the full brunt of the impact.

Russia Codename "Nikolai" (Voiced by: Sven Holmberg)[8] - (Russian: Кодовое имя "Николай") He returns from both Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to assist the now-disavowed Task Force 141 with his piloting skills and logistical support. Since he is allied with a group of Russians who reject the Ultranationalist movement, called Loyalists, he provides troop support to Soap, Price and Yuri in some missions. He and Price are the remaining surviving members of the 141.

Russia  Sgt. Kamarov (Russian: Сержант Камаров) - The Russian loyalist who helped Price and Soap in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare returns. He helps the local Czech Resistance when the Russians invaded the Czech Republic and plays role as the team "eye and ear" in the hotel where Vladimir Makarov and his general meeting took place. He was killed when Price broke into Makarov's hotel, only to find that his sworn enemy had outsmarted him and had strapped Kamarov to a chair with a massive amount of C4, and taunts Price before detonating it.

France "Sabre" (Voiced by: Jean-Michel Richaud) - He is a leader of the GIGN unit. He appears in the mission "Bag and Drag", assisting Team Metal in order to capture "Volk". His fate is left unknown when he and his teammate Faucon stay behind to cover Team Metal's pursuit of "Volk".

United States "Overlord" (Voiced by: Bruce Greenwood) - The callsign of the U.S. Army general who gives information about enemy strength and/or location. He was heard in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

United Kingdom Cpt. MacMillan ("Baseplate") (Voiced by: Tony Curran)[9] - Captain Price's former mentor and C.O. returns from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, now retired from the field and providing intelligence under the callsign "Baseplate". He shares key intel to the disavowed Task Force 141. He is still injured from the helicopter in Pripyat, despite it happening 20 years ago. He was born in 1963, and so is 53 years old in this game.

Russia President Boris Vorshevsky (Russian: Борис Воршевский) - The Russian President. Kidnapped in "Turbulence" by Makarov, who wanted the launch codes to the Russian nuclear arsenal. Makarov tried to ransom his daughter Alena for the launch codes, but Vorshevsky, along with Alena, were later rescued in the diamond mine in Siberia by the combined efforts of Task Force 141 and Team Metal in "Down the Rabbit Hole." He helps Yuri onboard their evac helicopter as they fly out of the mine as it collapses, killing Team Metal. A later prologue reveals he is discussing a peace treaty with the U.S., but this leaves off on a menacing note as he had said earlier in the game that "We destroy our enemies when we make friends with them . . ." However this may just mean that enemies no longer exist after being befriended; having been interrupted, it is unclear what his true intention was. He may have just paraphrased Abraham Lincoln, who originally said the line.

Russia Alena Vorshevsky (Russian: Алена Воршевская) - The 22-year-old daughter of Russian President Boris Vorshevsky. Targeted by Makarov to ransom her father for the nuclear launch codes. Kidnapped in Berlin by Ultranationalists assisted by a Hind helicopter, despite the efforts by Team Metal to stop it during the mission "Scorched Earth". She was later rescued at the Siberian mine by Task Force 141 and Team Metal at "Down the Rabbit Hole" After Price, Yuri and Team Metal rush deeper into the mine with two Delta Force agents tending to her, her whereabouts are left unknown, although she presumably survives to reunite with her father. She also received the codename "Athena" by the U.S. military.

Soviet Union  Vladimir R. Makarov (Russian: Владимир Р. Макаров) Voiced by: Roman Varshavsky - The main antagonist of Modern Warfare 3. He is the terrorist leader of the Inner Circle. He also killed Cpt. John "Soap" MacTavish, F.S.O. Agent Andrei Harkov, and former-friend-turned-enemy Yuri. Makarov was killed by Cpt. Price by hanging him to death in the mission "Dust to Dust".

Captured by Sandman in Paris at "Bag and Drag". It is unknown what happens to "Volk" after his capture by Delta team Metal. Rumored to be Soviet, but his passport in the starting cutscene of "Bag and Drag" reveals his race, Caucasian.

Somalia  Waraabe - The tertiary antagonist of "Modern Warfare 3". He is a warlord in Bosaso, Somalia. He was responsible for the sale of chemical weapons to "Volk". When Price confronts him, he throws a canister of the same toxins he has been selling and promises Waraabe a gas mask in exchange for naming the person he has been selling the weapons to. After the panicking warlord named "Volk" as his contact and reveal his location in Paris, he was executed by Price with his gun in retalliation for causing the deaths of thousands of people and his comrades in SAS with the chemical weapons he delivered to "Volk" in "Mind the Gap".

Soviet Union Lev (Russian: Лев) Appears twice in Yuri's third flashback (Year - 2016, Zakhaev International Airport) the first being when he restrains him in an underground parking lot beneath the Airport, and again when Yuri stumbles out of an elevator and attempts to shoot the terrorists. United States Metal 0-1 Sandman is playable during the level "Little Bros", fighting through the map of Berlin from the campaign with the help of Vulture 2-2.

United States Ozone a Task Force 141 sniper with a scratchy voice who returns from Modern Warfare 2 (despite the fact that he was killed) who appears in the level "Kill Switch" wielding a SCAR-L Suppressed and an RSASS Suppressed with a Thermal Scope, but later this is replaced by a Five Seven. United States Lighting 1-1 a pilot who controls an F-22 Raptor attack plane. He also speaks the first words in the MW3 Campaign ("This is Lightning 1-1 in the blind, I'm hit, I'm hit!") In the starting cutscene of the level "Black Tuesday". It is unknown if he ejects to safety or crashes.

Just before it can pull Team Metal and Volk to safety, a T-90 fires upon it and hits the rear section of the helicopter, causing it to crash through a jam-packed parking lot and comes just short of killing Sandman, Grinch, Truck and Gator. It is later destroyed in the mission. He also appears in the Spec Ops level "Smack Town", with instead the callsign of Angel-1.

United States Viper One an AH-6 Little Bird who appears in the level "Down the Rabbit Hole". The player can first see two Little Birds swooping overhead once they burst from an eastern section of the mine overlooking a construction yard, being chased by an enemy Hind. Oddly, they both have the same name (Viper One) and besides that the helicopter can be seen drifting in the distance. There is a typo in the game where the callsign is spelled 'Viper one' instead of Viper One. Its full callsign is Viper 6-1.

United States Rhino 2 Other Abrams tank driver that supports the team Metal in the mission "Goalpost". Germany Blutertragen a Leopard 2 tank that appears in the level "Scorched Earth". Instead of advancing with the two other tanks, it stays behind on a bridge to provide covering fire. Mission:

The camera shows a stormy night, passing two guards and a truck, before tilting upwards and traveling past 006, Alec Trevelyan, on top of a security metal shutter and the camera turns to 007's, James Bond's, view as he comes up behind him.

Trevelyan: Welcome to Russia.

Bond: MI6 is giving us the go-ahead on the mission.

Trevelyan: Let's wait until the next truck passes - I'll take the guard on the left, you take the one on the left.

The truck rolls away and a Humvee heads in the opposite direction.

Trevelyan: Now. Let's go.

Bond and Trevelyan slide down a hill and run, crouch towards two guards with their backs to them. Their voices grow louder as the agents apporoach.

Checkpoint Guard 1: . . . - . . . thing that happened yesterday?

- No, I mean action! We are soldiers, not guards. We crave action. We live for action. We are men of action yet there is no action here!

Bond and Trevelyan incapacitate the guards.

Trevelyan: (smiles) Good work, James.

Bond pats him on the shoulder.

Bond: Just like old times.

Trevelyan: You take the guard tower - but watch out for that sniper!

Bond and Trevelyan spread out and move closer to the guards. One soldier runs out of the truck and looks up at a guard leaning over the safety rail in the tower.

- Sergei! Tell your dog here that we have already passed inspection! He is pointing at the sniper.

- Good! Then this should go quickly!

- But our time table, we will be late!

- All I know is what they tell me! Security has been tightened! No-body gets through!

- Great. Fantastic. Why not take the food out of my mouth? Maybe my damn fillings, while you are at it?

- Viktor! When you are done under there, check in his mouth.

Soldier 1: Хорошо . . . . . - All right . . . we will wait . . .

Bond moves up to the tower and stealthily kills Sergei and the sniper. If he is detected Trevelyan will assist the player, and say: "Target down." "Enemy nuetrilized." "You owe me one."

Bond: Tower clear.

Trevelyan: See if you can find any extra firepower in there.

The sound of the security shutter opening is heard.

Trevelyan: We've got company, headed to the bridge. Can you handle it?

Five soldiers with tac-lamps walk into view. If the player does not shoot:

Trevelyan: What are you doing, 007, taking a tea break? Let's get on with it!

If the player still does not shoot:

Trevelyan: What's holding you up, James? You're supposed to be taking care of them!

If the player still refused to fire:

Trevelyan: James, I need support now!

The soldiers are killed.

Bond: Targets down.

Trevelyan: Area clear. I'm moving to the truck.

Bond: Moving to your location.

Trevelyan gets in the driver's seat of the truck. When Bond opens the passenger side door, he finds Trevelyan pointing his P99 at him, but he quickly turns it away.

Trevelyan: Nobody ever dived in too carefully.

Bond: Words to live by.

He shuts the open glove compartment and lowers the flap above his head, and takes out a signed picture of a woman, possibly a girlfriend. He flicks it away and shuts the door. Trevelyan starts the engine and moves off.

Bond: So how much do you know about Ourumov?

Trevelyan: Haven't you already read it in the dossier? After the fall of the Soviet Union he became jealous of the other guys, all their new money, and he went into buisness freelancing for himself . . . Up ahead, the checkpoint.

He nods towards two soldiers wearing blue berets ahead of them in front of a barrier.

Trevelyan: We're running six minutes behind. If anything goes wrong, be prepared to move . . . How's your Russian these days?

- As good as ever.

Trevelyan stops the truck in front of the barrier, and the beefier of the two guards gets up on the left fender, leaning through the driver's window.

Checkpoint Sergeant: Вы. - You. Step out of the truck.

- What's the problem, Sergeant?

Nobody moves for fifteen minutes-

The other guard gets up on the right fender and looks at Bond.

- How come I've never seen you before? Are you new?

Bond: Сначала день- - First day-

Checkpoint Guard 3: Дайте мне ваши бумаги- - Give me your papers-

Checkpoint Sergeant: Я сказал выходят из грузовика- - I said get out of the truck-

Trevelyan turns around and pretends to look for something, but he whips around and shoots both of them. Bond grabs the guard's AK-47 and smashes the windshield. Trevelyan accelerates and smashes through the barrier.

Bond: Let's get out of here, Alec!

Some guards rush forwards to try and stop them.

- TAKE DEFENSIVE POSITIONS!

Trevelyan hits the guards and keeps going. They drive at high speeds through the dam, while being attacked by all types of Russian troops until a Humvee drives into the side of their vehicle in an attempt to shove it off the side of the dam but only succeeds in driving off the dam itself, but since it jars the passenger's side door open, a Russian leaps aboard and attemps to wrench the gun from Bond's hand's, but Bond knocks him back and he and the door are taken off as they smash into a wall.

Bond: OUCH.

An oil tanker pulls ahead of them in an attempt to stop their progress.

Trevelyan: Shoot the truck!

If the player does not shoot at once:

Trevelyan: James, come on!

The truck is destroyed and they ride to an open area, but a Russian with an MJR-409 shoots at them from a tower.

Trevelyan: Look out! / RPG! / Jump clear! / Brace yourself! . . .

A second rocket is shot directly at them.

Trevelyan: Come on, jump!

Trevelyan manages to jump out of the truck in time but Bond remains inside as the rocket explodes and the truck flips over, and slides into the tower. As Bond's fuzzy vision clears, Trevelyan rushes forwards and pulls off a few shots. A yell is heard and a body tumbles down the steps of the tower. Trevelyan kneels down so he can see Bond.

Trevelyan: Come on, James!

Bond gets out of the wreck and looks up to see a bulky helicopter sweep overhead, illuminating them with a spotlight. It continues on to a landing pad, and meanwhile Trevelyan is trying to force an elevator door open.

Bond: Look! What the hell are they doing with one of those?

Trevelyan: We have no time. Let's go.

Trevelyan: Come on, James, Let's move!

Trevelyan forces open the elevator doors open and Bond rappels down the elevator shaft to on the roof of a lift. A narrow slit in the sliding doors shows an angry sergeant and two of his men.

- What the hell is happening up there?! Have you heard anything new?!

- No, it's probably just another surprise inspection. They used to let us know before and now it's like we don't have enough to do already!

While they talk, Trevelyan mouths "Three, Two, One" and grips the emergency door release. Whenever the player is ready to 'Breach' the room they press the action button and a slow-motion sequence plays out where the soldiers rush for an 'Alarm' button. Bond shoots all of them.

Bond: Did you see that helicopter?

Trevelyan: Yeah. What of it?

Bond: It looked EMP hardened, designed to survive an electro-magnetic pulse. I'm getting intelligence for MI6.

Bond begins to move away but Trevelyan grabs him by the shoulder.

Trevelyan: Don't waste your time, you'll be late reaching the rendezvous!

Gunfire starts to patter down the elevator shaft.

Trevelyan: You go! I'll cover you.

He returns fire up the shaft.

- Station 12. What is your situation? Report. Station 12, are you there? Have you seen the intruders? Station 12, come in! come in! We are sending a truck to your location!

Bond moves further away from the elevator. A truck pulls up and multiple soldiers jump out.

- Stay alert. They are here, somewhere.

- Did anyone ID them? Do we know how many there are?

- Eh, nothing to worry about. Probably just some locals trying to steal some supplies, nothing we can't handle!

Bond moves down some stairs and takes out a guard stealthily.

Trevelyan: James, they've fallen back. I'm moving out.

Bond moves through the area and disables the soldiers. He goes to open a security door by pressing a button, but it sets off a klaxon alarm and sends guards into the area. After a battle he clears them all out.

Bond goes through some doors and happens upon two boats pulling up to the dock. He blows them up by shooting the fuel tanks in the back. He moves on and goes through a wire mesh door, and moves to another door, when the player is alerted with a message about security cameras.

He moves through the area and goes up a flight of stairs into an area with a camera and listens to two guards talking.

- Someone should tell the General that we are soldiers, not engineers!

- Perhaps you should mention it to him . . . right after he asks for the status of the turbines.

- What?! You trying to get me shot?!

- At least then you will die like a soldier. Look, just be glad that you are here, not in another shift.

Bond incapacites the two soldiers and the camera, then moves out of the room and into an elevator. He presses a button and the elevator rises one level.

Trevelyan: Found your precious helicopter yet, Bond?

The doors open and reveal a complex of catwalks and metal stairways underneath the helicopter pad. Two soldiers walk up to each other and start to talk.

- I tell you, I saw it!

- Yes, and I wish you would stop talking about it!

- (lovingly) I held one in my hand . . . It was beautiful. Best weapon I have ever seen . . . smoothest action . . . not like this crap we have to shoot with. And where is this shipment now? These beautiful weapons?!

- (exasperated) I told you, I don't know! I think they must be sold.

The General would not do that. He always saves the best for us-

Soldier 7: (holds out a hand to stop the other.) - Ugh - enough talk! Even if those weapons exist, the General knows what he is doing! That's why you're a guard, and he's a General.

- Don't remind me . . .

They part ways and Bond shoots them both. He moves up through the complex of catwalks and stairs and moves up onto the helipad, and approaches the helicopter. The player is given instructions on how to take pictures with his Smartphone, and Bond takes pictures of the front of the helicopter, a missile pod, and an extendable wing carrying Hellfire missiles.

Trevelyan: When you're done with your precious holiday snaps, Bond, meet me at the rendezvous. We're running out of time.

Two soldiers come through the gate and Bond kills them. It then turns into a prolonged fight where Bond moves up the Dam fighting Russian forces towards a tower, which has a sniper as its occupant. When the player gets close to the tower, an elevator door opens up.

Trevelyan: James, I've created a little diversion to cover our exit.

However, instead of taking the elevator, the player can go up into the tower. Multiple Russian soldiers and various Spetsnaz will be seen rushing in from the general area of the helipad. A radio is also heard.

- Tower 2, come in, over. Have you seen the intruders? Tower 2, we are sending backup to your location. (voice becomes tense) Tower 2, we are approaching from the helipad! (pause) TOWER 2, REPORT!!!

When the player gets in the elevator, it goes back down into the Dam.

Trevelyan: James, have you reached the rendezvous yet?

The elevator stops and the doors open, revealing a soldier standing in front of a large glass window. Bond incapacitates him. Five Russians can be seen in the distance beside a truck. Bond moves into the next room and goes down a ladder.

Trevelyan: Ah, damn. You'd've thought that after the fall of Communism, the Russians might've invested in some Twenty-First century transportation by now!

If the player manages to make it close to the group of Russians without alerting them of his presence, he can overhear them talking. One soldier is gesturing animatedly to go along with his story.

- But that wasn't the best part. After he ran for a good twenty feet, he ran right into fence and just completly fell right over it, but his pants snagged on the fence - (represses a giggles) - and - (giggles again) - and they came right off!

They all laugh.

Spetsnaz Trooper: (still laughing) - What color were they?

Soldier 8: (barely able to stop laughing) - Pink with polka dots!

They all howl with laughter again. One soldier bents over, out of breath.

- That is too funny!

Soldier 10: (slapping his neighbour on the arm) - This guy is the best, eh?!

- He couldn't even get them off the fence, and the Sergeant wasn't the type who really tolerates that stuff, so he had to walk around in his underwear all day!

They laugh some more, and eventually it dies down.

- You know, if anyone caught us doing this, the General would probably shoot us all . . . anyway, I gotta take my shift in five minutes. See you guys.

Soldier 9: Бай, Дмитрий! - Bye, Dimitri!

Soldier 8: Где я был? (ponders on the thought) - Where was I?

The Spetsnaz Trooper walks away and will spot Bond. Bond moves on. He shoots the lock on a door and goes up some stairs. Suddenly, Trevelyan, driving a truck, smashes through a barrier and hits two guards. Alarms blare overhead.

Trevelyan: Let's move it, Double-O-Seven. I think we've outstayed our welcome.

He jumps out of the truck and shoots a guard who is still moving.

Trevelyan: (shouting) James, get over here! We have to make the jump!

Bond goes down a set of stairs and runs over to Trevelyan, who is wearing his parachute. Trevelyan jumps off the Dam, and the camera views pulls out to see Bond getting ready to make the jump, but four Russians come up behind him and he stops. A Sergeant comes up behind him and points his pistol at Bond's back.

- Get your hands in the air!

Bond holds his hands above his head and slowly turns around. The Sergeant motions to Bond's parachute.

- Take off your parachute.

Bond doesn't move.

- Give it here!

- If you insist.

Bond takes off his parachute and holds it in front of him. The Sergeant steps forwards cautiously, wondering if he is planning a trick. As he does, Bond's hand, hidden from view, snakes towards the release handle. As the Sergeant's arms are within inches of grabbing the parachute, he pulls it. The Sergeant dives backwards, and the other soldiers yell in surprise as the parachute billows out and envelopes them. Bond turns around and jumps off the Dam - without a parachute.

The camera zooms in on Bond's right eye, and a remade version of the 'Goldeneye' theme from the movie begins to play, while showing voice actors, directors and persons of importance who developed the game. The camera switches back to Bond's view as Bond's breaks the surface of the water at the base of the Arkhangelsk Dam, where a smirking Trevelyan reaches out to pull him from the water.

Trevelyan: Nice trick, jumping without a parachute. Trying to show me up?

Bond: You said we were running late, let's move.

Trevelyan's expression drops as Bond walks away towards a rusted iron door.

Trevelyan: Hey, James?

Bond turns around. Trevelyan has not moved.

Trevelyan: For England?

Bond: For England, Alec. Always for England.

Bond turns back around and continues to the door, and the level ends.

The camera fades in from Bond's point of view. He is holding up his Smartphone, where two dots are seen side-by-side. One is centered in and Alec Trevelyan's face appears in a small box.

Bond: I've got you, Alec.

Bond lowers the Smartphone. Alec Trevelyan is seen, crouched, in front of Bond, holding a similar phone.

Trevelyan: Good. MI6 won't be able to reach us down here, but we'll be able to contact each other using the alternate channels on the ultra-low frequency side-path.

He holds his Smartphone up to his ear and sound levels appear on Bond's Smartphone monitor.

Trevelyan: We've got ninteen minutes until those terrorists make the pickup. Should be enough, as long as Ourumov hasn't spotted us.

Bond: I'll take the fuel tanks.

Trevelyan: I'll get the weapons cache.

Trevelyan walks underneath a catwalk. Bond gives him a boost to help him up, and Trevelyan slithers over the railing and onto the catwalk. He looks down at Bond.

Trevelyan: Last one out buys the first round.

Bond: You're on.

Bond walks over to a grate in the wall and removes it. He climbs into the ventilation shaft behind it and walks through it. Eventually he reaches an open area with a large fan overhead.

Trevelyan: I'm approaching a checkpoint. Security seems light so far.

Bond continues through another shaft to the left.

Trevelyan: I'm going dark, James. Radio silence. inhales. Good luck.

Bond turns a corner and comes to an area where the fans are placed above bathroom stalls. There are two places where the vents are missing, and Bond goes down one of them into the bathroom. If the player chooses the left vent, he will drop down into a stall, and a soldier will come out of the stall beside him. If he chooses the right vent, Bond will sneak upside-down and surprise-attack the soldier on the toilet.

Bond exits the bathroom and continues into another room with large engine mechanisms going. Two workers can be heard in the distance talking.

- Did you catch the game last night?

- Yeah, I can't believe we lost again.

- Have you heard about Domotry?

- Yes. How could they make a fool like him Sergeant?

- Aah . . . Wilfred's gone to stay with her sister. I heard the rumor.

- Ach, you worry to much. She will be fine, she will come back.

Bond moves through the area and comes into a hallway where he is surrounded by office-looking cubicles. Suddenly, alarms blare and soldiers rush everywhere.

Trevelyan: (in a frantic voice) James, I'm trapped. I need you to get to Master Egineering. Get the codes. Override the lockdown.

A live feed of General Arkady Ourumov appears in full military honours on a television moniter in the room ahead of Bond.

- We've been infiltrated! Lock down the facility! Secure the perimeter! All guards, emergency stations! (menacing) Find whoever breached our security, and bring them to me.

The live feed blinks off. Bond moves through the area, shoots the lock on a door, and goes through it into a small L-Bend shaped shaft. On the other side of a grate, two soldiers are on guard duty, patrolling the hall.

- I need new shoes. These boots are killing my feet.

- Ugh, twelve hours sentry duty. It's too long.

They round a corner and walk through a set of doors. A worker is banging on a soda dispenser.

- Come on, you piece of crap machine! You just swallowed my two rupees! I want my money's worth! Come on, piece of crap! Give me my soda! I'm dying of thirst!

The machines rattles and a soda can is dispensed in the recieving area. The guard says "Наконец!" - "Finally!" and opens the can of soda. It sprays him in the face with soda immeadiately.

- YOU PIECE OF SHIT MACHINE! I'm going to contact the General and have you thrown in the junk heap!

  • SEVERNAYA - OUTPOST Transcript

CUTSCENE:

Tanner: MI6 Tanner to Bond. One hour ago, Ourumov's helicopter landed at a remote base in Siberia. The Russians claim it's a climate change facility, with no military purposes.

The Ludmiller is seen landing at the base.

Tanner: But 25 minutes ago, someone sent out a distress signal using military channels. The Russians have already sent in combat troops and have scrambled two MiGs.

Overhead satellite feed show numerous forces closing in on the base.

Tanner: Your mission is to avoid those Russian troops, infiltrate that base, and find out what they're up to.

Tanner: One last thing. When we sorted out your new phone, we provided you with an EMP hardened model. In a worst case scenario, our satellites will be temporarily blinded, but your phone will survive. Tanner out.

MISSION:

The camera goes past two soldiers in snow camo patterns and passes a third, patrolling, then finally stops on Bond, who is hiding behind a tree.

If the player can get close enough, he can hear the two soldiers talking.

- I don't like it. I think its the Americans.

- Don't be ridiculous. Even our own government does not know we are here. How could the Americans?

- They're like rats! Of course they want what we have. (?). Where else could they be?

Russian Soldier 2: Где-нибудь. .. - (exasperated) Anywhere . . .

Bond moves on and encounters another soldier, killing him. A wolf can be heard howling in the background as a truck stops on an overhead bridge and two soldiers get out.

Russian Soldier 3: Я не понимаю. - I don't understand. What is happening?!

- Don't know. The captain thinks its some sort of accident.

- An accident?! Or an exercise?! That helicopter wasn't ours!

. . - (exhales) God help us if its another exercise . . .

Bond continues on to a small hill where the two MiGs blast overhead, and the other Russian troops and transports can be seen crossing a bridge below. As the camera view shifts to the observatory, a huge ripple in the clouds can be seen and some sort of beam seems to be gaining strength, and it "fires", blowing out powerlines and causing all the vehicles to grind to a halt.

Bond holds up his smartphone, which shows the rapidly degrading status on the broadcasting satellite.

Bond: Bond to MI6, do you read me?

No response. Bond turns around just as an EMPed MiG swoops low overhead and slams into the bridge, exploding and destroying several vehicles. Bond looks up just as a deactivated Hind spirals down towards him, and he tumbles down the slope.

Bond regains conciousness and looks up to see the Hind wedged in a tree, aflame. He inspects himself briefly for injuries, then gets up.

- Form a perimiter. We have work to do!

Russian Soldier 5: Он установлен? - Is it fixed?

- No, it's dead. The ignition, the engine, the lights, dead!

. . - Bah! I knew this would happen, what with those damned scientists . . .

Multiple Russians can be heard repeating sentences during this period: "Проведите ваш огонь каждым, не стреляйте, до того как вы подтверждали ваши цели! (Hold your fire everyone, don't shoot until you've confirmed your targets!)" "Пребывание спокойное. Подкрепление будет прибывать коротко. (Stay calm. Reinforcments will arrive shortly.)" "сосредоточенное Пребывание. Федерация тратила хорошие деньги, обучающие вас для такого случая. (Stay focused. The Federation has spent good money training you for such an event.)" "Капрал, поймите меня травмы граф! (Corporal, get me an injury count!)" and "Держите ваше оружие безопасности открыли, мужчины, я не хочу все глупо аварий. (Keep your weapon's safety engaged, men, I do not want any foolish accidents.)"

A Russian can be seen tending to his wounded comrade in a corner.

Russian Soldier 7: Легкий. .. - Easy . . . Report, soldier, what happened.

- Yes, sir. I - I was with Grigoriy, across from the river, when he - I heard a sound. Then I was falling.

Russian Soldier 7: Хорошо, продолжали говорить - (to another soldier) - получить на этом радио, предусматривают эвак! - Good, keep talking - (aside) - get on that radio, call in for evac!

Another wounded soldier can be seen leaning against a tree, clutching his stomach.

- Are you wounded? Stay here, I will call for help.

Two soldiers approach the crashed and burning MiG.

- Hey! They've found the pilot!

Russian Soldier 10: То, что? - What? He's alive?

- Yeah, just south of the river, but our orders are to secure the crash site and find the flight recorder!

- The flight recorder? As if we're ever going to find it!

He bends down to inspect the wing, where there is a fire blazing.

- Hey, do you remember the number one rule of all electrical fires? No? First, extinguish the flames!
