At original AN/I thread on May 5, 2008:
[1] Explaining original conflict in brief, and telling people to AGF and that their behavior is shameful
[2] Trying to get people to read the RfC instead of making unfounded claims. Using some sarcasm to try to get people to be a bit more CIVIL and avoid personal attacks.
[3] Trying to get participants to stop throwing insults at original AN/I thread.
[4] Charged with spamming people's talk pages with User:Filll/AGF Challenge, I ask what rule I have violated and invite MZMcBride to file an RfC against me for inviting people to take the AGF Challenge. I also point out that similar responses to my invitation are approaching the unCIVIL.
[5] Ask ThuranX to take more care being posting inflammatory statements.
On Picard talk page:
[6] At start of Picard talk page argument, ask all to read RfC and familiarize themselves with some of the facts that were involved in the previous arguments: Wikipedia tries to avoid copyright violations, New York Times is a reliable source, Wikipedia is supposedly an encyclopedia not a newspaper, Wikipedia tries to avoid WP:SYNTH
[7] Lay out the facts of the Picard biography in more detail and invite people to fix it, instead of whining (not the best wording)
[8] Announce I will not fight and ask complaining editor to work instead of fighting.
[9] Again inviting editors to write instead of fight.
[10] Again inviting editors to write instead of fight
[11] Trying to get users to write instead of fight again, by using A and B model.
[12] Asking editor to take it easy and not misrepresent sources.
"white pride" and "f_ckwit" discussion at AN/I
[13] Bringing issue to AN/I and asking for outside eyes to look at this before it gets further out of hand and creaetes more bad feelings.
[14] My suggestion for dealing with the situation: getting everyone on all sides to tone things down.
[15] Answering claim that I was just trying to make a POINT by finding an example where CIVIL was not applied, and giving my explanation of why "white pride" and "f_ckwit" expressions should not be used on Wikipedia and why.
[16] Providing some evidence that some might find "white pride" offensive
[17] Stating that both sides should have been cautioned, and pleading to calm the situation rather than inflame it
[18] Trying to explain why "white pride" is not a good term to use on Wikipedia.
