Tekno is a robot dog created by Toy Quest and WowWee[citation needed] and launched May 8, 2000.
Features[edit]
Tekno has fewer functions than other robot dogs, such as the i-Cybie or the Robopet[citation needed] Tekno can speak several words in English including: "Tekno", "whoops", "excuse me" and 'thanks". Tekno makes snoring noises at night, though the lack of a full range of motion means that Tekno cannot lie down or sit. He can be programmed to be an alarm clock. Tekno has touch sensors are used to launch behaviours and 'train' him. Sensors are located on his head, neck, nose and one side.[1]
Technology[edit]
Tekno is powered by two motors; one for his body movements and the other for his sensors and microprocessor. [2]

After the release of the puppy model, there were more animals released using the same basic design and capabilities.
