History[edit]

Johnny Manglani, the founder, President and CEO of Uomo Group, started his journey in Moscow during the 1980s. The first Uomo Collezioni boutique was opened in Moscow in 1998 and despite the economic crisis it was patronised by the business and political elite of Moscow.

The first Uomo Collezioni boutique opened at the peak of the Russian economic crisis in 1998 at Bolshaya Gruzinskaya, Street 58 as a tailoring salon for clients who wish bespoke tailoring.

From 2002 to 2005, Uomo Collezioni extended its second boutique at Kutuzovsky Prospekt, followed by a third boutique at Leninsky Prospekt. Today, Uomo Collezioni holds 12 boutiques in Moscow and 1 in St-Petersburg, with the flagship boutique located on Presnensky Val 44, Moscow.

In August 2010, Johnny Manglani visited Singapore to invest in real estate and upon identifying a gap in the market ended up opening 2 boutiques, a multi-label (unlike Moscow) Uomo Collezioni and mono-brand Stefano Ricci at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. To cater to international clientele demand, he expanded the group by opening Santoni and Zilli boutiques in 2012 followed by a Brioni[3] [4] boutique in 2013, all three at Marina Bay Sands. In February 2014, the opening of Billionaire Couture Macau marked Uomo Group's first venture outside of Singapore and confirmed the group’s commitment to Asia.

In September 2014, Uomo Group will open the first Billionaire Couture boutique again in Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands.
