Sean McLoughlin is a British stand-up comedian.

Career[edit]

McLoughlin began performing comedy while a student at Newcastle University[1]. He has performed six solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival[2] and was nominated for ‘Best Performer’ in the Comedian’s Choice award.[3] McLoughlin has performed at Just For Laughs, The Kilkenny Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival and regularly tours the U.K. and Europe with his shows. In 2017 He supported Ricky Gervais on his worldwide Humanity tour.[4] He has opened for Bill Burr at the Royal Albert Hall.[5]

McLoughlin has appeared on Stand-Up Central, Comedy Central At The Comedy Store, and co-starred in the travelogue ‘Brexit Stage Left’ for Viceland alongside Jamali Maddix and Fern Brady.[6] He played the comedian in Netflix sitcom After Life[7].

Mcloughlin’s podcast ‘Heal Your Wounds’ was nominated for a Chortle Award[8]He currently hosts a new podcast called Sean & Eliot Read The Bible. He is the most frequent guest on Ricky Gervais is Deadly Sirius on Sirius XM. In 2018 an album of his comedy was released by a U.S. Label entitled 'Support Act'[9]

McLoughlin was raised in Brighton. He was raised Catholic.[10]
