L'école nationale d’ingénieurs de Brest (ENIB) a french graduade school of engineering providing a range of Master's degree cursus in engineering that are opened to applicants who have completed their undergraduate studies in other institutes. Its different curricula lead to the following French degrees :

   * Ingénieur ENIB (ENIB Graduate engineer Master degree)
   * Masters Research & Doctorat (PhD doctorate studies with affiliation of the University of Western Brittany)

PRESENTATION[edit]

ENIB is located at Plouzane on the Technopole Brest-Iroise. The school is a public administrative institution (France) affiliated with the University of Western Brittany.(Université de Bretagne occidentale).

This school is part of ENI group and provides an engineering studies in France authorized by the Department of Higher Education and Research after the notice of the "Commission des titres d'ingénieur" fixing the list of schools authorized to issue an engineering graduate on the fields of electronics, computer sciences, and mechatronics.

The course lasts 5 years, 3 years or 2 years following the entry level.

History[edit]

  • 1961 - Creating ENIB (education in 4 years).
  • 1987 - important transition of the period of study at 5 years, diversification of recruitment, creation of two channels (electronic and computer industry).
  • 1991 - cohabilitation to issue the DEA Electronic-Optronics.
  • 1992 - Installation in new, modern and functional (10 000 m²) on the Technopole Brest-Iroise.
  • 1994 - Authorization to issue a Master: Real Time Software Engineering and for Industrial Computing (GT2I).
  • 1997 - Authorization for the Masters: Distributed Virtual Reality (SVR).
  • 2000 - Opening of the mechatronics industry.
  • 2004 - Construction of a 4000m ² extension and creation of the European Center for Virtual Reality.
