The only change that was added to this article was this sentence in the original "Many pet owners say they have to experiment with different surfaces to find one that their cats will scratch reliably." They added a source (2) and this sentence, "Matt Wildman, a cat behaviorist, explained that sisal or corrugated cardboard surfaces are favored by most cats." This sentence was revised and stated the actual expert that elaborated on this from the original.

I think this was beneficial to add because it gave some context as to which ones are favored by cats. Also this was a big add with the reference and expert so it could actually link the sentence to a source.

Unsure of what the User will be adding to the rest of this Wiki article.

I think it would be beneficial to add the history of scratching post or where they originated.

More content that might be beneficial is the psychological needs of a cat from a vets standpoint that does not have a scratching post (possibly)?
