John Wolfe

[edit]

John Wolfe, (Born October 28, 1988) also known as "Harshly Critical," is a YouTube creator specifically known for creating Let's Plays mainly with the genre of horror. Wolfe is especially known for his stoic and sarcastic attitude as he provides commentary for the games he plays. The games he plays range from low-budget indie games to triple A titles. He used to refer to his viewers as "Critical thinkers" though that has phased out along with his nickname, so he now mainly goes by his given name, John. He does to this day, still use his catchphrase, "Think critically" at the end of each of his videos.[1] He currently lives in his home in Dallas, Texas. As of February 2020, his subscriber count is 613,000 and his videos have been viewed 209,498,824 times. [2]

A common series of his is a series that he calls, "Three Random Horror Games," where he picks random games off of different sites without knowing anything of them, plays through them with commentary, and then reviews them all at the end of the video. [4] Every now and then he collaborates with other YouTube creators such as MrKravin, MandlyBadassHero, KatFTWynn, TheMadMax000, or SinowBeats. [5]
