Michael McKay (b. May 10, 1963) is a Canadian engineer and business executive, as well as a former Canadian astronaut and officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. He was selected for the Canadian Astronaut Program in June 1992.[1]

In November 1994, McKay resigned his position due to medical reasons. During his two-year term as an astronaut, McKay never undertook any spaceflight missions. He continued to work as an engineer for the Canadian Space Agency until 1997, when he returned to active military duty as an employee of the National Defense Headquarters. He retired from the military in 2001.

He is currently president of PixeLINK, a manufacturer of digital cameras based in Ottawa, Canada.[2] PixelLink entered bankruptcy protection in October 2005 and emerged from it April 2006.[3]
