MRB Productions is a Los Angeles based film and television production company focused on independent features, television shows, and commercials.
History[edit]
Founding[edit]
Launched in 2001 by founder and Executive Producer Matthew Brady, MRB Productions quickly began producing segments for ESPN and the ESPY Awards. The company’s reputation grew as they won various festivals and awards for their work, including that year’s Aspen Comedy Festival with ‘’The Comeback’’.
Commercial Work[edit]
MRB Productions soon signed a contract with Disney and ABC’s Monday Night Football. By the fall of 2002, MRB Productions produced each week’s Monday Night Football opening with director Mark “T-Man” Teitelman. MRB and Teitelman went on to produce and direct the prestigious Super Bowl XXXVIII Open with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Teitelman is still on MRB's regular directorial roster.
In 2004, MRB Productions increased its roster of commercial directors and landed projects with new high-profile clients such as DirecTV, SONY, Upper Deck, MGA Entertainment, NFL Network and X Games.
In 2006, MRB Productions produced the BCS National Championship Open for ABC Sports featuring Will Ferrell and Matthew McConaughey. They produced other notable Opens that year, including several for ESPN Sunday Night Football, the 2006 Cingular All American Bowl, ABC’s Monday Night Football Finale, and Super Bowl XL.
MRB's recent commercial clients include Young & Rubican, Campbell-Ewald, The Woo Agency, Triple Double, MGA Entertainment as well as ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX.
Feature Films[edit]
In 2006, MRB co-produced its first feature film, a Documentary titled I Trust You to Kill Me, starring Kiefer Sutherland. The film, which documented the California rock band Rocco DeLuca and the Burden was released both theatrically and on VH1.
MRB produced the sports documentary X Games 3D: The Movie in 2009, featuring extreme sports athletes Travis Pastrana, Ricky Carmichael, and Shaun White.
Grassroots (2011), directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal, was MRB Productions’ first non-documentary feature film.
