Introduction[edit]
I am a Software Engineer with a wide variety of interests. My passions shift from day to day and at the moment my free time has been consumed by photography. I am also very interested in history and especially the history of United States during the Civil War era. I am working towards reading the biography of every United States President. Its going to take a while since I never have as much time for personal reading as I would like.
Computer Related Interests[edit]
I spend most of my professional time working in C and C++ but when working on personal projects Java is normally the language of choice. I really hate working on user interface components and am happiest when working to provide an API and let others deal with making the pretty GUI components. I think you have to have an artistic side for that kind of work that I just don't have or am unwilling to develop.
