Lili Elbe is a forthcoming opera in two acts composed by Tobias Picker, with a libretto by Aryeh Lev Stollman, starring Lucia Lucas as Lili Elbe.[1][2][3][4] Based on Lili Elbe and Man into Woman: An Authentic Record of a Change of Sex,[5][6] the opera will premier on October 22nd, 2023.

Tobias Picker met Lucia Lucas when he cast her as Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni, making her the first transgender opera singer to have a leading role on the American stage.[7][8][9][10][11][12][13]
