Lady Agatha Wellsborne Barlow of Chichester (13 June 1500 - 15 June 1595) was the wife of Sir William Barlow (bishop of Chichester). Sir William, played an important role in the Protestant Reformation.
Birth
[edit]Lady Agatha Wellsborne was born in Chichester, England on June 13, 1500 to Sir Humphrey Wellsborne (1480-1499) and Lady Margaret Harcourt Wellsborne (1471-1500). Agatha's father died just shortly after finding out of Lady Margaret's pregnancy with Agatha. Lady Margaret died about three days after giving birth to Lady Agatha, due to birth complications.
Family
[edit]In 1528, Lady Agatha married Sir William Barlow in Chichester, England. The two would go on to have seven children:

- Archdeacon William Barlow, II (1544 - 15 May 1625)
- Lady Francis [Barlow] Matthew (1545 - 8 May 1629) - wife of Tobias Matthew, Archbishop of York
Death
[edit]Lady Agatha Barlow, died June 15, 1595 in Hampshire, England, two days after her 95th birthday. She is interred, along with her husband, in St. Mary's Churchyard in Winchester, Hampshire, England.
