Working on a Double Fine free use asset request list here

Note that we're looking at games that DF owns, so not the LucasArts games (now owned by Disney), even if remastered, or games owned by other publishers

Let's start with Broken Age and Psychonauts

  • For Psychonauts, it would be great specifically to have shots from the Lungfish, Milkman Conspiracy, and Meat Circus level, as those three are universally remembered (for different reasons).

Other games that are not under Lucasarts or would have clear problems (eg like Once Upon a Monster). In all cases, cover art/logo and a selection of screenshots of characters and gameplay would be great.

  • Brutal Legend (might have some EA limitations, but it sounds like DF owns the property now)
  • Costume Quest (1 + 2, particularly with the animated show on the way)
  • Stacking
  • Iron Brigade
  • The Cave (may have some IP ownership issues)
  • Hack'n'Slash
  • Spacebase DF-9 (if they want to even touch that)
  • Massive Chalice
  • Any prototype images they'd like to share from their Amnesia Fortnites

Things that would be nice but likely out of touch:

  • Double Fine Happy Action Theater (since MS published)
  • Headlander (published by Adult Swim games)

Other potentially nice things to have:

  • Photos of their offices (inside and outside) to spruce up their article, if this doesn't come by way of the documentary
  • Photos of key devs in DF (outside Schafer, who's plenty visible, but if they want a specific image of him for his infobox, hey, great.)
  • Photos of any of their Day of the Devs events, particularly if they include other indie developers.

  • I'd love an animated gif of the stacking mechanic in Stacking with the verbs visible (can pull double duty to illustrate the evolution of verbs in adventure game). Kinect Party/Happy Action Theater also craves an animation of what cool stuff the camera can do. I'm missing a lot of gameplay screenshots across DF games so it's probably a good idea to start there.
