Shep Hyken (born June 24, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American author, professional speaker and customer service expert [1]. He lives with his family in St. Louis, Missouri.
Background
[edit]Shep graduated from University of Missouri, St. Louis in 1982 with a BA in Speech Communications. In 1983 Shep founded Shepard Presentations and since then has worked with hundreds of companies and associations on their customer service and loyalty initiatives. Shep has received the Certified Speaking Professional(CSP)[2] designation from the National Speakers Association. In 2008, Shep received the Council of Peers Award for Excellence(CPAE)[3] placing him in the National Speakers Association Hall of Fame.
