Citizen Journalism in Syria is about the role citizens have played in reporting the events of the Syrian Civil War. These citizen journalists document events of the civil war using videos, photos and articles, which are then posted on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and numerous blogs.

These citizen journalists in Syria have informed the outside world about events of the civil war. With official news agencies banned from reporting on the events of the civil war within Syrian borders by the Ba'ath Party, citizen journalists play a vital source by providing major news organizations such as CNN and Reporters without Borders(RSF) with information concerning the civil war. They also provide content for localized Syrian news agencies such as the Syrian Free Press, Shaam News Network(SNN), the Rastan Media Center, and the Alaasi Revolution News Network.
