Ryan Walker (musician) new article content ... Ryan Walker Lee (born 10 March, 1994) known professionally as Ryan Walker, is an american Singer/songwriter that is a part of the Roots revival movement of the 21st Century. His music is heavily influenced by the Folk music of the 1960's.

Life & Career[edit]

Ryan was born in Dallas, Texas. He was raised in a good christian home with high morals. He spent most of his childhood playing in the woods around his house and going on trips to the mountains with his father. He has lived in the Dallas area his whole life. He started playing music in the 6th grade, starting out on Bass guitar. Through the years he has learned to play many instruments including Guitar, Piano, Banjo, Harmonica, and Ukulele.

He started his musical career in the hardcore scene taking influence from bands like Bring Me The Horizon and Chiodos. After several years of screaming in various bands he started a synthpop solo project called Ryanlion. It wasn't long after when Ryan wanted to pursue a career in Folk music, taking heavy musical influence from artists like Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, and Donovan. When he dropped the electronic sound, he took on the new stage name of Ryan Walker.
