From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Health In All Policies (HiAP) is a set of guidelines created by the California Department of Public Health to help guide policymakers in incorporating public health issues in initiatives across every sector, not just in public health initiatives.

History[edit]

HiAP was released in response to data and research done by the California Health in All Policies Taskforce in 2010. (http://sgc.ca.gov/Initiatives/Health-In-All-Policies.html) It was created to study the health impact of policies on Californians, specifically policies and programs that aren't specifically public health policies.
