Dr. Pradeep Adatrow is an Indian-American dental educator, researcher and clinician. He is one of the only few Board Certified Periodontist and Prosthodontists [3] in the United States. He is a Faculty at the University of Tennessee.


Early life and Education

He was born in Vizag, India and immigrated to the United States and grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Adatrow went to College at University of Alabama with a major in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Later, he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Furthermore, he pursued a 3-year residency in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the Indiana University and another 3-year residency in Prosthodontics from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He is Board Certified by American Academy of Periodontology[4] and is inducted as a Fellow in International College of Dentistry[5].

Academic Career

Dr. Adatrow began his professional career as a Clinical Instructor at the Indiana University during his residency in Periodontics in the Indiana University. After finishing his residency, he joined the University of Tennessee as a full time faculty. He is currently Associate Professor and Director of Surgical Prosthodontics. He has been working at University of Tennessee in various roles in both the Department of Periodontology and Prosthodontics. He has been instrumental in teaching hundreds of Dental Students, Post Graduate Residents and Dentists in the areas of Periodontology, Dental Implants and Prosthodontics. He is also active in many clinical research projects with the Post Graduate residents. As an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Bio-Medical engineering in University of Memphis, he is very active in many research projects and is instrumental in training many doctoral and post-doctoral students in their research projects. Awards

He has been a recipient of many prestigious awards like Deans Junior Faculty award, John Diggs Faculty awards[1]. He is also inducted into the Deans Odonatological society and Deans Society.
