Straight Reads The Line was a metalcore, post-hardcore band from Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada. Formed in late 2004, they grew in popularity in the Southern Ontario music scene. They released their first E.P., Let's Get Nuts, in 2005. It had a guest appearance from Dallas Green on the track "Tony Danza Is The Boss". Signing with Distort Entertainment in 2008, they released their debut album, The Author, late that year. The band split up in early January of 2010, so the members could each pursue different musical goals.
