[edit]Ways to Improve Wikipedia for ART+FEMINISM 2018
[edit]- Consider improving one of the many stubs in this project, especially those visible in the list of WP:WikiProject Women artists/Popular pages.
- Add a resource to the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Women_artists/Reliable sources for women artists.
- Look at the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Women_artists/Worklist for inspiration.
- Look up your favorite artist on Wikipedia and do the three-way check
- Choose someone (or pick someone from the list of notable women without articles) and write an article about her.
- Create a "list of works" for notable artists so that others can be inspired to write articles about individual artworks.
- Help investigate these articles tagged for notability. Keep or delete? Help prove notability, or nominate them for deletion if needed.
- Look at these art historians needing articles -- Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Missing articles by occupation/Art historians. Consider Abigail Solomon Godeau, or add another to their list.
- Women's Studio Workshop -- consider adding to this short article
- Look into the Category:Stub-Class African diaspora visual arts articles for women artists, architects and designers.
- Link an artist's page to pages of institutions where she trained, held residencies and/or Fellowships (Notable Alumni), and institutions owning her artwork. See Colette Fu
- Add more categories to an artist's page to refer to her education, residencies, teaching appointment, etc.
