Colonel Jimmie Dean Coy, Ret., (Dr.Jim Coy)

    Served as a medical consultant for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.  

He served two years as the national president of the Special Operations Medical Association and as the national surgeon of the Reserve Officers Association. He has served with numerous Special Operations units and served with the 3rd Group, Army Special Forces (Airborne) in the 1991 Gulf war.

    His military awards, badges, and honors include the Legion of Merit, the 

Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Combat Medic Badge, Expert Field Medical Badge, Flight Surgeon Badge, Airborne, Air Assualt and Israeli Airborne Badges.

He has also received the Order of Military Medical Merit from the Army Medical 

Regiment and the prestigious "A designation" from the Army Medical Department.

    COL Coy is the author of the Eagle series books that include: 

A Gathering of Eagles, 2nd Ed., VALOR: A Gathering of Eagles,

and PRISONERS OF HOPE: A Gathering of Eagles.  The Eagle series books 

offer advice for life about Leadership, Success and Signficance. Dr. Coy is also the author of the books, MATTHEW A to Z + 2 and THE ABCs of MATTHEW for Children. The Matthew series books can be used as a teaching and learning tool by using the alphabet and alliteration to learn the Gospel of Matthew. [1]

    Jim and his wife Vicki serve on the staff of the Military Ministry of 

Campus Crusade for Christ.
