ACTORSandCREW is a browser-based social networking application designed to facilitate employment networking within the entertainment industry (Film, Television and Theater) professionals[1] According to its founders, ACTORSandCREW has more than 6,500 members as of August 2008.

ACTORSandCREW is privately held by brothers David and Philip Williams.[2]

Features[edit]

Provides a built-in profile building system which allows subscribers to upload high-quality video (supporting up to 720p HD video), head shots, voice over and musical composition reels, and screenplays. The application features a universal media trans-coder that handles uploads of most known video, audio and document file types. The appliction has support for more than 500 different types of entertainment jobs, and full social-networking[3] capabilities for its members.

Members can self-describe in terms of location, favorite movies, plays, books, union affiliations, organizational affiliations, languages spoken, and a series of criteria directly related to casting and hiring. The criteria include licenses, hair color, eye color, physique, facial hair type, ethnic types played, costumes owned, unusual skills, sports played, dance and musical instruments played.

Any member of the service can post jobs which may be reviewed by any other member. Subscribed members of the service can post an unlimited number of jobs.

Members can submit their profile to posted jobs with one click. The system includes a 'credits' builder that dynamically links up groups of members that have worked together.
