Original series (2007–14)

[edit]

Total Drama is a Canadian animated comedy series created by Jennifer Pertsch and Tom McGillis. The series, which premiered on Teletoon in Canada, follows host Chris McLean (Christian Potenza), chef and co-host Chef Hatchet (Clé Bennett), and the various contestants of the reality competition series of the same name. The series ran for five seasons prior to it's cancelation, airing it's final episode on November 20, 2014.

Season 1: Island (2007–08)

[edit]

The first season, titled Total Drama Island, sees twenty-two contestants (Beth, Bridgette, Cody, Courtney, DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Gwen, Harold, Heather, Izzy, Justin, Katie, Leshawna, Lindsay, Noah, Owen, Sadie, Trent, and Tyler) arrive at Camp Wawanakwa, a rundown summer camp on an island. The contestants are split into two teams (the Killer Bass and Screaming Gophers) and compete in summer camp themed challenges, with the losing team voting someone out of the game. About halfway, the teams are merged, with the last contestant remaining winning C$100,000.

Season 2: Action (2009–10)

[edit]

The second season, now titled Total Drama Action, sees the fourteen contestants (Beth, Bridgette, DJ, Duncan, Geoff, Gwen, Harold, Heather, Izzy, Justin, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, and Trent) who tied in the previous season's special arrive at an abandoned film lot to compete for C$1,000,000. Similar to the first season, contestants are split into two teams for the first duration of the competition (the Killer Grips and Screaming Gaffers) to compete in challenges, now each based on a different movie genre. A fifteenth contestant, Courtney, would later return halfway through following her wrongful elimination in the previous season.

The season also introduced Total Drama Action Aftermath, a talkshow run by Bridgette and Geoff where they interview the eliminated contestants.

Season 3: World Tour (2010–11)

[edit]

Total Drama World Tour features fifteen returning contestants (Bridgette, Cody, Courtney, DJ, Duncan, Ezekiel, Gwen, Harold, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Noah, Owen, and Tyler) and two new contestants (Alejandro and Sierra) travel around the world competing in location-themed challenges for the chance to win C$1,000,000. Unlike the previous seasons, the contestants are initially split into three teams (Team Amazon, Team Chris is Really Really Really Really Hot, and Team Victory), and each episode features a musical challenge where contestants must sing or be eliminated.

Total Drama World Tour Aftermath initially has Celebrity Manhunt host Blaineley replace Bridgette as Geoff's co-host, however following Bridgette's return as host she's demoted to reporter, then eventually debuts as the eighteenth contestant after winning the Second Chance Challenge.

[edit]

Fourteen contestants (Alejandro, Cameron, Courtney, Duncan, Gwen, Heather, Jo, Lightning, Lindsay, Mike, Sam, Scott, Sierra, and Zoey) return to a now decontaminated Camp Wawanakwa for Total Drama All-Stars, the first half of the fifth season. In a heroes vs. villains themed season, the two teams (the Heroic Hamsters and Villainous Vultures) compete in challenges combining elements of previous challenges.

The second half of the season, now titled Total Drama: Pahkitew Island, introduced fourteen new contestants (Amy, Beardo, Dave, Ella, Jasmine, Leonard, Max, Rodney, Samey, Scarlett, Shawn, Sky, Sugar, and Topher) arrive at Pahkitew Island, a Cree island to once again compete for challenges. Unlike previous seasons, only the winning of the two teams (the Pimâpotew Kinosewak and Wâneyihtam Maskwak) is given food as a reward, with the other team having to find food themselves.
