A current undergraduate student of the University of California, Irvine, Blackbird (or Boxcar, as her internet alias usually states) spends whatever free time (time not spent studying or working part time, that is) hanging out with friends, leaving a mark on the internet, and listening to music.

Music

While her all time favorite band is Green Day because she knows she can listen to the songs without fear of growing tired of them, current favorites include The Weakerthans, Jawbreaker, Motion City Soundtrack among so many others it is not possible to list them all. She also knows a lot of trivial knowledge about the bands Green Day, The Offspring, and Bad Religion having gone through random obsessive, "OMFG! This is the greatest band ever!1!" phases for each one. That's not to say that she doesn't like the bands though. Boxcar is under the opinion that John K. Samson is one of the greatest lyricists/songwriters of this generation and will admit to listening to the occasional Fall Out Boy or Avril Lavigne pop-type song. She likes her pop, what can she say? She also likes classic rock, and has recently garnered an appreciation for old time rock and roll, rhythm and blues and folk.

Personal Life

In the beginning of her life, Boxcar lived in Orange County, California only to move to the Inland Empire when she was about ten. However, since she was accepted to UCI to pursue a prestigious undeclared degree--having tried the English major route and deciding more or less, "Well, this was a bad idea... She doesn't have a driver's license, but oddly enough, has a car and her own cell phone. She has one younger brother, and two dogs that live in Moreno Valley, California. Recently, she moved back home to Moreno Valley and is now an official commuter student--with no job.

Current Plans

Currently, Boxcar... is not doing anything aside from the daily train/bus ride to school. She's content to listen to her Jets to Brazil album and attempt to play some guitar. It does not go as well as she planned.
