Contrasts: Comparative Essays on Italian-Canadian Writing is a book edited by Joseph Pivato and published by Guernica Editions in 1985.

Contrast was initially meant to promote the work of Canadian authors of Italian background who published in English, or French or Italian. It also was important in the critical recognition and study of ethnic minority writers in general both in Canada and the UK. It was a collaborative project with nine contributors.
