Early Life

He borned and brought up at Berhampore, West Bengal. His father Late. Ashesh Kalyan Banerjee was an X-Army Goverment employee. It was a transferable job and so Arnab stayed multiple locations before he became 6. Whatever Arnab can remember he was at Goaltur when the god gifted him a sister, Anwesha Chakraborty, nick name is Papan. After that he stayed at Town Colony, Kuikota in Midnapore. He came with his parent at Berhampore in 1991. He started his education from "Berhampore khagra pouro prathamik vidyalaya" from class one (1) in bengali medium.

Drawing

When he was 7 his father, the late Ashesh Kalyan Banerjee admitted him to learn Fine Art / Drawing. His Drawing guru was “Goutam Das”. He appeared for and achieved 5th year certification in Fine Art Drawing from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad. Later he opened a drawing school when he was 15+ only. The name of his art school was “BMD Art Place”.

Early music life

Tabla

When he was 7 his father, the late Ashesh Kalyan Banerjee admitted him to learn Tabla. His Tabla guru was “Sanat Chowdhury”. He appeared for and achieved 5th year certification in Tabla from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad. Sanat Chowdhury was a very dedicated person. He did not miss a single day to come for private tuition in Arnab's 8 years Tabla learning period. He was absent for only one day as his father expired at that time. Sanat Chowdhury was a student of “Guru Nitya Gopal Saha” who was a renowned Tabla Player as well as the Sangeetgwa. Arnab Banerjee learned dedication, respect, love to music from his Tabla Guru. Once upon a time when he was attending the First year Tabla theory exam, it was held at “Khagra Prouro Prathamik Bidyalaya”, his primary school. Later he started private tuition of Tabla to several students. He often attended stage programs. Some of his stage programs were with his sister “Anwesha Banerjee (Papan)”, brother Ayan Banerjee (Chhoton), English Teacher “Apurba Banerjee”, etc. His brother was a very good Guiter Player and his sister was a singer.

Singing

He started to learn the singing from Guru Sourav Chatterjee (Radio Artist at Berhampore, West Bengal). At a very early stage Guru "Sourav Chatterjee" was the singing teacher of his sister. But later he started to learn singing from him with his sister. At that time he was 17 years old.

Singing Learning

He still thinks himself as a student and continuously learning the singing from his Singing Gurus. His first guru was Sourav Chatterjee who introduced him with the music instrument "Harmonium" and with the divine words Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni, Sa. From the very beginning, he started dreaming about music. But dreams can never draw the lines on reality alone and easily. It requires time, dedication, and determination. So, after a long education, he left his birthplace Berhampore and joined his first job as a software engineer in Kolkata.

During his first job he was not able to continue with his singing for many reasons. But after one (1) year, he joined ITC Limited (next company) and started to learn the singing again from Tanmoy Saha. Here he learned to sing movie songs, folk, pop and attended many stage programs successfully. But his dream was little bit different and so he joined "Swarnali Sangeet Siksha Niketan" located at New Barackpore in Kolkata. Here, the Principal of this singing school the "Guruji Swapan Chakraborty" enhanced his classical base and turned his life in to a different level. But it took a long period of 12 years. He appeared 5th Vocal Classical and achieved the honorable certificate from this school.

After these 12 years journey his next classical Guru was "Guruji Bikash Sur". During this time, he worked with multiple Bangla bands and Orchestras as a live performer. But this was also not his actual dream and even time was not on his favour as Corona came into the market and started to kill people and their hopes. Also, he lost his Guru "Guruji Bikash Sur" due to Coronavirus.

But in 2022 he was called by Director Shubham Das for his new Bengali movie "Pora Baanshi". He sang the title song of this movie after Aditi Munsi. Film director Shubham Das helped him much to get further options in the singing. During this time he was trained by the Music Director Mr. Ashoke Bhadra.

Work history

IT Career

Arnab Banerjee's IT career started from early 2006, it was June month. First company was "eMatrix" where he deputed for HTML tagging, BPO job. Here his close coworkers were Nabin, and one lady (unknown). He gave the first salary to his father after reaching home at Berhampore. Father, "Ashesh Kalyan Banerjee" became very happy after seeing this respect from his son. He told, "ok, now we have one to earn for our family. I can release my stresses now.". But Arnab was not satisfied with his job as it was not a development job. He started to find another one and join "Design & development private limited". It was at Surya Nagar, Tollygunj. He saw the Metro Rail for the second time. It charged 15 rs from Dumdum to Tollygunj and same to return definitely. During this job he mate with Saidabad Pampi at Berhampore during Kalipuja. Then he joined "Informatics" for 3 months. That was his first development job using PHP MySQL. During this job he came to Berhampore once for marriage event of Laltu Da. Here he was introduced with Sakuntala (Barasaat), and Piu (Bombay). Then he joined Script Giant NiC for four months as a PHP developer where he learned PHP, MySql, JavaScript and logic to build websites. Then he joined a company at Dumdum. He lost his father during this company job. Here he got a good senior "Arnab Chakraborty", and a good friend "Arpita Luha". Later the company shifted to "Saltlake Sector 5", Kolkata. But this company rejected Arnab after he reached completing the rituals for his father. He struggled much and opened a new company with the help of "Arun Da" and continued for 9 months. Then he joined "SSCS World" at Barasaat. It was the first high paid job for Arnab. During this job period he got a new senior friend "Gouranga Da". He mate with "Mou" in Habra through his cousin "Jhuma". But it was for again three months and joined TWCS. This company helped him to get a PAN card for the first time. But after one month he got a new and first standard job at "PWC" via "Beas Consultancy Services and Private Limited". Here he worked with "Anupam Haldar" (Madhyamik School Friend). He got few friends like Jayanti Chowdhury, Pintu Biswas, Sudeb Mondal, Tarun (Later, Tarun opened a new company and mate with Arnab in 2021 again, after 16 years). Then he joined "Gamut Infosystems Private Limited" as a Senior Software Engineer. Here the technology was ASP.NET 2.0. During this job his sister got her first Job at CMC. His next company was "Tamannya". During this job period his sister got marriage. Then he joined at ITC through "Bartronic Global Solutions Limited". This was his first standard and long-lasting job. He had worked for 2 years through Bartronics post which he got transferred to ITC as a full-time employee with the help of Kaushik Mukherjee, Suman Guha, and Moloy Biswas. He worked at ITC for a long time of 8 years. During this job period he started singing again in Kolkata, started to live a standard living in Belgharia, mate with Sarmistha, his brother Chhoton left them alone, he lost his mother, he marriage, and god gifted him a daughter. Then he joined HCL, and then Publicis Sapient.
