Angela Posada-Swafford [[1]] is a science, environment and exploration writer, producer and book author. Born in Bogota, Colombia, and resident in the United States since 1988, has a Masters in Journalism from the University of Kansas, and is a 2000-2001 fellow of the Knight Science Journalism Fellowships at MIT [[2]]. Is currently the US correspondent of Muy Interesante[[3]] magazine, the largest publication in Spanish language devoted to science for the general reader.

Is the author of a series of novels of adventures and adrenaline for young adults and beyond, with the common themes of science and environment, published in Spanish language by Grupo Planeta in Colombia[[4]]. The series, Los Aventureros de la Ciencia/The Adventurers of Science[[5]], has a DVD with a complementary documentary about the real science, researchers and places that appear in the 200-page fiction novels. In each novel, four youngsters follow their aunt Abigail, a science reporter, in a wild crusade around the world, where they apply their newly-gained science knowledge to save the day. The 30-minute complementary documentaries are written and field co-produced by Angela Posada-Swafford, and directed and post-produced by Video Movil [[6]], in Bogota.
