Sample Company is a company that specializes in a sample product that was invented for the purpose of this exercise.[1]The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California and has 150 employees.[2] In 2007, sample company was nominated by Business Magazine as the 2nd most influential sample company in America.[3]

Sample Company was developed by partners Jimmy John and Bob Smith at their home in Portland, Oregon in 2001. The company’s initial product was produced in a small warehouse.[4] By October of 2005 the company had raised nearly $5.1 million in seed funding.[5] The company is currently expanding to markets in Singapore, Tokyo, and Las Vegas.(TT) Some of the company’s investors include Bill Murray, Michael Jackson, and Aretha Franklin.[3][5]

Product[edit]

In 2002, Sample Company launched their software solution for generating sample ideas. The product is distributed internationally through multiple sample vendors. [1][6]

Awards[edit]

In 2007, the company was recognized as the 2nd most influential sample company in America.[3]
