Amrit Jassal or Amrit JSL (born 21 March 1980) is an Indian journalist, publisher, editor and video director, currently working for India's National News Channel DD News .
Early life[edit]
Born in Bathinda, Amrit moved to Delhi in the year 2000 and then Mumbai to start his Career in Bollywood as a Video editor and Animator. In the year due to some personal problems he returned to Bathinda again in August, 2002 and decided to work for Punjabi entertainment Industry.

- Master of Computer Science from Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak
Career[edit]
In the year 2002, after returning to Bathinda from Mumbai, he did his first project as an animator in Punjab with Punjabi comedy telefilm 'Chhankata 2003' with comedian Jaswinder Bhalla. After this project he did more than 30 Punjabi telefilms as a video editor and director. Along with this he started working for a local newspaper as a Freelancer journalist and that was a big turn in his life. After that he worked for a Punjabi TV channel and finally in the year 2014, he joined DD News as a reporter.
Works[edit]
As a journalist he covered many big incidents including Dera Sacha Souda clash, Floods and Many big events like Kabbadi cup etc. and also creates awareness and educational videos for youtube channels on social, political and environmental issues. Now he started his own news portal too and working as an Editor for this news portal Greater Punjab
Entertainment Industry Works[edit]
- More than 30 Punjabi telefilms including Channkata 2003, Channkata 2005, Channkata 2006, Channkata 2007, Channkata 2009 (All these projects are with comedian Jaswinder Bhalla) , Gurdev Dhillon's (Bhajna Amli) Kaato Amli di, and Jassi Kadhe Sapp Atro Maare Gapp etc.
