Laurent Carrasset (Lima, Perú, november 20, 1972) is the Divisional Vice President South America at Belmond. He manages the group's strategy in the region and is in charge of the properties in Peru and Brazil.

In twenty years with Belmond, Carrasset has been the General Manager of the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort & Spa in 2006, the General Manager of Hoteles Belmond Peru, and was assigned the PeruRail train division. Years later, he assumed the General Management of Hotels and Trains in Peru, a position that he held until recently, when he was appointed as the Divisional Vice President South America, thanks to his strategic vision and leadership.. 

Before assuming his role as the Divisional Vice President South America, Laurent was responsible for Hotels and Trains at Belmond Peru. While there, he achieved the positioning of Belmond properties in the region and launched the first luxury night train in South America, boosting the growth of the hotel industry.

Laurent was named Hotelier of the Year at the Latin American Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference in 2017. He was also a nominee for the 2018 Independent Hotelier of the World awards from HOTELS magazine.

Graduated from the Paris school “Jean Drouant Hotel”, Laurent has a degree in hospitality. When he is not working hard, he enjoys sailing, surfing and the speed of sport cars.
