Alla Gopala Krishna Gokhale (Telugu: గోపాల కృష్ణ గోఖలే; born 2nd of October, 1959) is the first surgeon in Andhra Pradesh who has successfully done heart transplantation. He is also popularly known as Dr Gokhale and AGK Gokhale.
Early life and background
[edit]Alla Gopala Krishna Gokhale was born in a Telugu chowdary family to sri Alla Venkateswara Rao and Smt Jhansi bai in Vijayawada, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India. His wife is Smt. Venkata Lakshmi practicing as a Neonatologist. He has two brothers and one sister.
