Mango Tours is a retail travel company headquartered at Market Street in San Francisco, California, United States.[1]

Mango Tours is a child company of Travelfast International Inc, which markets vacation packages wholesale to independent retail travel agencies.

History[edit]

Travelfast International Inc. an airline consolidator company, was founded in March 1978 by Juan Francisco.[2] The first branch in San Francisco became the early step to building up the company. Before databases were implemented, index cards were used to keep customer data and as a reservation system. Ten years after being established, they created the “Fly now, pay later” program. In the 1990’s, Mango Tours was finally established as a retail company under the parent company's name Travelfast International.

Travelfast.com was launched in 1995 for employees to use while Flytoasia.com, a percursor of Mango Tours official website was created in 1999.

By 2004, Mango Tours began expansion to different parts of America with a new branch opening in Vallejo, California. Same year Mango Tours introduced services that include package tours, accommodations, cruises airport transfers and visa and passport services. By June and December of the same year, the Newark, California and the Sacramento, California branches were opened.

In 2005, Mango Tours opened a branch in Manila, Philippines, opened its own call center and established a U.S. toll-free number. By 2007, the company created a customized booking engine for their website.[3] In 2009, Mango Tours formed a partnership with TFC's Balitang America[4] and created its travel segment featuring the Philippines among other different business.

In the 2010's, Mango Tours had grown into a stable and travel agency. During the year 2011, a mobile phone app was developed while 2012 saw the creations of TFI Solutions, a business-to-business travel technology solution that to book airline tickets and other travel products, services. In 2016, Mango Tours partnered with DocuSign, to digitize credit card authorization.
