Anant Mishra is a distinguished person not only as a respected poet but also as a learned scholar throughout India, along with Purvanchal. All those people in the society, especially those interested in Hindi literature , like to read them and their books , we get to know very good things about Acharya Mishra.

Introduction[edit]
Respected Mishra was born on 18 August 1946 in Belauhi (Koluhi Lalpur Sonauli Road) village of Maharajganj. Acharya Anant ji has also been a famous teacher. Professor Mishra retired from the post of Head of Hindi Department from Gorakhpur University in 1970-2010.
According to Anant ji's first book "Ek Shabdh Uthata Hoon" (collection of poems) in the introduction part , he told that in childhood, he had the habit of writing poets, sitting on the well in front of the house and created a poetry with the help of a poetry of Surdas. He went to his father, who was a great grammarian pundit, after reading this, he rebuked him with love, he used to call Anant ji as Baurahwa (Bhojpuri word i.e. Pagla) at his work and this work represents new kind of Baurahi (madness) in the eyes of his father . He used to express himself in a form of expression ; poetry. On a railway ticket or any piece of paper, and since he is of a different nature, he is not used to keep his written material safe , which resulted that many poetry and his work were lost
Apart from this, he left home when he was in class 6 and after coming to high school, he started living in Gorakhpur and as he got his post graduation degree from Gorakhpur University, he was appointed to St. Andrews College, later he appointment was done in Gorakhpur University itself

Apart from this, since the student life, various poems have been published in the various magazines like Kadambini, destavez , Sahitya Amrit, Pahal, Saraswati, Contemporary Hindi Sahitya patrika (Sahitya Akademi) etc., and many poems have been translated into various languages.
