Akshay Tilak (born 24 july 1997) is a Indian handball player for BMSCE club, university VTU and the state team. He also play Volleyball for the club Basvangudi BlueZones BMSCE. He is a multi gamer such as he play Handball, Volleyball, Netball, Softball and Cricket. He is also an Athlete i.e., he has participated in Field events - Highjump & Longjump and Track events - 400 meters and Cross country.

Club Career

Tilak began his career at the Bangalore club BMSCE. It was there he became the Best Shooter Handball in 2016, 2017 and 2018 as well as also winning the VTU interzones Championship for two consecutive in 20017 and 2018. Got multiple offers from other top clubs but made his club to the top rather than going to the top team.


Personal life

Akshay was born in KGF, India. He lived in Fraser Town, Bangalore for the first one and half year of his life. He is from a middle class family. His father Mr. M Amaresh and mother Mrs. A Dhanalakshmi. His father used to be a business man but due to his health conditions he had to be at home itself. Akshay was raised with hardship. He has experienced both luxurious life and poverty.

Education

Akshay is pursuing Industrial Engineering and Management at BMSCE, he got admitted through merit quota under KCET.[1] He was always among the top rank holders. He completed his high school and junior in Kendriya Vidyalaya BEML Nagar. He was the school captain in the year 2014-15 [2]. He won the overall school championship award.
