Simplifying this template[edit]

looking at the code for this template, it calls {{vgrsort3}} for every date, not just the first date. this is overkill, since the sorting feature only works for the first date. we should simplify the output by removing the sorting from the second, third, ... dates. okay, I modified the code to make it only sort the first key. we may also want to consider making a cheaper version of this template, since long articles like List of PlayStation games are being added to Category:Pages with parser function time errors. Compatibility with template[edit]

In List_of_music_video_games, I noticed that some entries use the {{dts}} template and others use {{vgrdts}}. When sorting the table by date, the entries are sorted but also grouped by the template: first all entries using {{dts}}, then all using {{vgrdts}} (and finally all those using {{Collapsible list}}).
