Inclusion of the provinces of Trento and Bozen[edit]

Just see Template:USPoliticalDivisions, for one. It doesn't just list the 50 states but also Washington D.C. and other territories such as Puerto Rico. For the cultural differences, you may be right, but between Trentino and Südtirol there are both cultural and political differences, so the autonomy from the region in much more marked, considering also the few powers of the region itself.--Piccolo Modificatore Laborioso (talk) 00:31, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Especially since on October 18th, 2001 the Italian constitution was changed to state that the region of Trentino-Alto Adige/ Südtirol is composed by the autonomous provinces of Trento and of Bolzano (art. 116 La Regione Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol è costituita dalle Province autonome di Trento e di Bolzano.) while all other provinces of Italy are subdivisions of the respective regions. Also the constitution states in article 117. that the regions and autonomous provinces of Trento and of Bolzano (Le Regioni e le Province autonome di Trento e di Bolzano, nelle materie di loro competenza,...) specifying clearly that the political competences lie with the regions and the two autonomous provinces, therefore User:Piccolo Modificatore Laborioso is not only right concerning the cultural and political differences, but this division is even backed by the Italian constitution. --noclador (talk) 01:03, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • We are really trying to make Wikipedia are only little world, eh? =) The region is Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol in this moment of history, just as we have the Veneto, and Tuscany. The regional and provincial pages tell it how it is. The individual articles let the reader know of the autonomy. Are you all proposing to dissolve Trentino-Alto Adige from the list of regions and replace it with Trento and Bolzano? Icsunonove (talk) 23:53, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
